COVID-19 support to IWESCO customers

Man in COVID-19 protective gear sanitises an office plant

IWESCO is a professional industrial cleaning and waste services company that operates in South Africa. As the global Covid-19 pandemic continues, it is vital to stay clean and sanitised. We offer world-class sanitising solutions for businesses - this includes daily cleaning and disinfecting of office spaces, warehouses, industrial sites, retail spaces and public areas.

IWESCO monitors the latest developments relating to the pandemic so that we can offer uninterrupted services and deliver them with maximum efficiency. During these cleaning and sanitising sessions, we actively ensure the safety and well-being of your employees and of our own team members. Preventing the spread of the virus is our top priority.

Sanitising the work environment and helping people to keep themselves protected at all times is essential. In addition to our standard operating procedures, which are governed by international environmental standards, we will be conducting more frequent cleaning and sanitising routines for our clients.

Cleaning services during Covid-19 outbreak

IWESCO has assisted customers by making additional staff available to focus on our sanitising solutions. These staff members are trained to supply and utilise sanitation chemicals in the most effective way. They are also on-hand to provide continuous cleaning services in order to reduce the risk of contamination and the spread of the virus. This leaves our customers free to focus on their core business.

Certain sanitisation chemicals and hygiene consumables have become difficult to find, but IWESCO has successfully secured stock from our suppliers. Personal hygiene and sanitation of all spaces are absolutely critical in minimising the impact of Covid-19. Here are some simple but effective tips for fighting the virus at home and at work:

  • Every morning, take a deep breath and hold it for 10 seconds. Any pain in the chest or an inability to hold your breath is an early indication of the virus infection.

  • Take a sip of water every 10 minutes to keep your mouth and throat wet. This will also flush any virus into the stomach, where the acid will kill it. A dry mouth and throat will cause a virus to be breathed into the lungs.

  • Wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds, as often as possible.

  • Avoid touching your face, especially the eyes, nose and mouth.

  • Sanitise anything you touch regularly, such as a phone, computer keyboard, tablet, car steering wheel and all door handles.

  • If you go into a public space, wear a mask and sanitise your hands after touching objects. During lockdown periods, avoid leaving the house as much as possible.

  • Practice social distancing. The best way to prevent the spread of this virus is to keep some personal space as far as possible.

Do not hesitate to contact us should you require any assistance or advice. We can help you protect your employees and your customers by having a hygienic and sanitised space. By safeguarding the work environment, we can enable our clients to continue operating and trading in these uncertain times. Please stay safe and healthy.
