IWESCO has no positive cases during lockdown disinfection

Over the past few months, IWESCO has been lucky enough to stay busy and fully-operational. We are a certified essential service that offers disinfection, sanitisation and hygiene solutions across South Africa. Our dedicated teams have been on-call for 24-hours a day during the entire lockdown period. We are grateful for the support given to us by loyal customers.

Despite being so busy working on the ground to disinfect and sanitise spaces where COVID-19 cases have been reported, IWESCO has not had a single positive case during the lockdown. None of our brave employees have tested positive for the virus and this is a testament to our disinfection protocols, processes and personal protective equipment (PPE).

IWESCO protocols result in zero confirmed cases of COVID-19

Our disinfection teams are well-trained in protocols and procedures regarding sanitisation and disinfection of spaces where hazardous materials are kept, or where infectious diseases are known to exist. This training allows our employees to work efficiently and effectively, but also to protect themselves from harm when working in spaces where the virus has been transmitted.

Our sanitisation and disinfection teams wear proper PPE and follow strict guidelines when it comes to the equipment they use and disinfecting it after a job. They wear full-body protective gear, including disposable suits, eye goggles, filter masks and latex gloves. Their equipment is also thoroughly sanitised and disinfected after use.

IWESCO uses thermal fogging as its primary response to disinfecting a space where the virus is thought to have been transmitted. We have been sanitising homes, offices and industrial properties across the country in order to keep South Africans safe and protected. These services have been requested around the clock, which has kept us busy and allowed us to expand our offerings.

IWESCO takes part in the Jerusalema Challenge.

IWESCO has grown in 2020

The continued support shown by clients and the numerous requests for disinfection services has enabled IWESCO to grow its core business by nine percent during 2020. We have also opened new offices in KwaZulu-Natal, the Western Cape and the Eastern Cape. Our new premises in Durban, the Transkei, Port Elizabeth and Mossel Bay have allowed us to employ and train more South Africans in cleaning, sanitisation and disinfection.

Not only has this increased jobs for South Africa and supported local economies, but it has also helped to protect more people from the virus. In a time where the national economy is under severe strain and numerous businesses have had to close, we are working hard to grow our industry and provide income opportunities for more citizens.

We will continue to work around the clock to support South Africa in its fight against the COVID-19 virus. We have made great progress so far and the sacrifices made by each individual are helping to keep one another safe. For more information on our fogging services or to request sanitisation and disinfection, please do not hesitate to contact us today.
